Peperomia

Helped my brother move into a new apartment this past weekend.

Easiest move I could imagine.

Both my brother and his new roommate were fortunate enough to have a small army of friends helping out. Five of us helped loaded up the truck from my brother’s old place and then two more showed up at the new apartment to unpack the truck. We had everything moved into the new 1200 sq. ft. place in 20 minutes.

Being on the first floor really helped to.

The picture above is the house warming gift Susie and I gave. It’s a peperomia. Really brightens up the place.

George Lucas talks to TV Guide about his plans for two new Star Wars television series. I have little hope of either of them being any good, but I do find his production model quite interesting. Basically, Lucasfilm is producing a 100-episode series and when that is complete they’ll shop it around to networks.

Starbucks to begin offering free downloads from iTunes.
For the entire month of October, Starbucks locations will hand out “Song of the Day” cards redeemable at the iTunes Music Store. I assume a purchase is necessary to get a card.

Software company RogueAmoeba releases a new program called RadioShift. It’s best described as TiVo for radio. Listen and record radio stations from the internet and AM/FM broadcasts all over the world. The built-in radio guide lets you subscribe and record any radio program. $32, Mac-only.

He-Man costume t-shirt. Just because this is awesome (in theory at least).
