Move In

And, it’s official. We’ve moved into new offices.

The whole move has been in the works for the better part of two years, since the agency name change. But it really came together at the end of last week. By Friday afternoon, boxes were packed and the moving company had arrived. On Sunday we came in for a few hours to unpack and setup our offices.

The new office is a really cool space, though we did move in a bit hastily. I’d say the place is only 95% finished. The past two days have been quite hectic with electricians, painters and other service people doing last minute work. To make matters worse, our floor is the only one even remotely completed, the other seven have quite a bit of work left. Hammering and drilling has become a sort of background noise now.

I’ve posted some photos of the first two days on my Flickr account. More to follow.

  1. Whoa – that’s your new office? Seeing Bogey and Hitchcock bigger than life everyday would be awesome. But why do the pics say ‘former’ offices? Did you move into someone else’s space or are those your old office? Either way, the Wizard of Oz wall would totally freak me out after a while.

  2. Ah, no. Those portrait paintings are on the walls of the old office, the one we are moving out of. And the Wizard of Oz one was right behind me for the past 7 months. At least it wasn’t the witch.

For the record, the photos of the new building are marked “private” for friends and family. You gots to be logged in to see ‘em.

  3. Your “pod” decorations are pretty sparse. Not a single action figure to be seen anywhere. I’m disappointed.

That red couch in the lobby, though, is pretty swank. If you could somehow move the Louis Armstrong and Humphrey Bogart murals you’d have a real jazz lounge going there.
